Episode #88 – Do your homework before it’s due
In this episode, Scott talks about the importance of laying a good investigative foundation. That means doing everything you can in the office before you take to the field. It also means…..well, you’ll have to listen for the rest.

Good to hear you back Scott.
Yet again another good episode, this is definitely a topic that can’t be stressed enough, “follow up” I must admit I too fall victim to the good old procrastination habit from time to time, but them again as you mentioned.. jump right back after remembering that what we do “is” important.
I also gotta say, I give you a lot of credit because it takes a true professional to admit and in your case broadcast your flows and mistakes for the benefit of other fellow PIs, that certainly deserves some appreciation.

What an excellent post. You do a great job of bringing reality back to this business. Your posts should be required reading in PI classes.
Great pick for a topic. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve jumped into something to discover I should have done a little more research at the office prior to starting. Internet access on a Palm helps some, but it typically the work would have been easier at my desk with all my tools.
