Episode 16 – Crazy hours, less money…don’t ya just love it!

A recent overnight case got me thinking about the choices we make when scheduling our cases. Often, we let the client dictate our professional decisions and it should be the other way around. Doing what the client wants isn’t always in their best interest.

Check out my rambling on the topic.

I’m glad you brought this up – Clients aren’t stupid, they can add up the hours in a day and see if you’ve covered them all. I can’t imagine being that other agency and trying to explain to a client why I didn’t hit the timeslots after that many attempts.

At least in my market, PIs come and go every day thinking this can be a part time job or a hobby – something they can do in their spare time and still work 40hrs somewhere else. The fact is this is more of a vocation than profession and to do it right takes both dedication and a lifestyle change.

Keep up the good work Scott!
