Episode 10: Investigative Specialties-What’s hot/What’s not

I found a list of investigative specialties that broke down the specific genres by the number of firms that reported themselves specializing in that particular specialty (have I said specialty to many times in a row yet?). It was a small, self reporting survey, and is by no means definitive, but I thought it was interesting and points to some possible marketing opportunities.

Check it out or download it and don’t forget to put yourself on the frappr map!

    Hi,

I think I read that list on the NAIS email group awhile back as well.

Any chance of giving marketing tips or business tips to other private investigators like myself who generally are just starting up and working only part-time? Been in the business for 18 months now, and any sort of marketing tips, how to get clients, who’s the best type of client to aim for would be really useful.

I’d really like to hear some more war stories as well, I’m sure you’ve got a few funny ones :)

I posted a link to this blog a month ago on a few PI email groups, hopefully you’ve gptten some more listeners form it.

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
I’m sure I’ll hit on all that at some point. I’ll start working on some of it now and see what I come up with. Thanks for listening and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or comments.

    Scott
